Yesterday, I had the pleasure of watching and participating in an architectural photo shoot of the Robert Stuart Salon, with the exceptionally talented photographer Francis Dzikowski of Esto Photographics, and his assistant. Francis was here to reveal and celebrate the beautiful, unique work of my friend, architect and designer, Jim Evanson.
Jim Evanson, of Evanson Studios, is the creative genius behind the design of our current home, located at 461 Columbus Avenue (corner of 82nd Street). He is an accomplished architect and designer whose work has been highly recognized and exhibited in many museums and galleries. He also teaches furniture design, specializing in the early to mid – 20th century time period. Jim and I have had an extensive history of working together. In 1990, he constructed and designed our old salon located at 510 Amsterdam Avenue. Then in 2000, he was also responsible for the further enhancement of our entire salon (510 Amsterdam Avenue).
